Guest paulrich Posted October 1, 2005 Report Posted October 1, 2005 Could anyone shed some light on this frustrating little problem? When new contacts are entered they automatically file themselves with the surname first and first name last. I've gone through every possible setting (but no doubt have missed one) to try and change the view to first name first, last name last. I can only change the way they are listed by Active Sync and Microsoft Outlook. Is there a setting on the phone to enable to do this? Cheers all.
Guest Confused Stu Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Sorry to disappoint you, but there isn't a way to do this on the phone. There has been on the Smartphone's since the first one (I think, memory's not that good these days) but the M500 doesn't have it. I guess the M500 is meant to be more of an extension of the PC than the Smartphone's so the change is meant to be done on the PC. Still a bit of a bugger though! :o

I used to have this problem as well... nowadays I just use the first name field to enter both first and Surname... stoopid but it works... Unless some "intelligent" app decides to split it up... aargh.. I'll do the thinking ...you compute ..$@$@# PDA :o
