Guest IndianaPig Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Hi all, I'm just about to get an M500 (if and when any place manages to get stock of them!.............) and I've just got a quick few questions, which I would kindly like answering......... Is it correct that the M500 comes with Windows Media Player 10 installed and this includes Album Art and Play Lists etc? Also if so, presumably album art, playlists etc can run from the SD Card and not just from files that are directly on the M500 itself? A simple but important set of questions from me. Many thanks for your time.

Guest cad42 Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 If only all posts were so easily answered! Yes, and... Yes :o <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Hi, maybe this will be more difficult: I've just got an M500, have loaded some albums (mp3) from my SD card into the library, but no album art. What do I have to do to get it to go off and download the album art, or does the album art have to be on the SD card along with the MP3s in the first place? If WMP10 can't retrieve album art itself, is there a media player that can? (N.b. I do not have windows of any kind on my pc, I use synce to copy files from my linux pc). Thanks. Jonathan.
Guest Pondrew Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Sorry mate, the only way I know of to obtain album art is in Windows Media Player 10 on a Windows desktop PC. U then have to sync the song back to the Windows Mobile device, again in Windows Media Player. I suspect without one you won't be able to display album art.
Guest cad42 Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Cool - I can do the same thing. Retrieve album art with Amarok on my desktop, and then copy the whole lot to the m500, and wmp displays it. Sweet. Thanks. Jonathan.
Guest bluesxman Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 If you do as I do, and copy albums to the SD card in a self contained directory, save the album art to a file called folder.jpg and that will be displayed in WMP. Just another option!
