Guest tbjj1977 Posted October 2, 2005 Report Posted October 2, 2005 Hello there, I recently got an Orange SPV C500 and have a problem. I have a Nokia "Wireless Car Kit CARK-112" installed in my car. It worked fine with my Nokia 6310i, but I can't get it to connect to the SPV. It will see it and pair with it, but I can't set it as a handsfree device. Has anyone else got round this problem, or am I going to have to get a new kit? Are there any other bluetooth car kits compatible with the C500 that you know of? Obviously I'd rather use the current one if possible. I had quite a job installing it. Cheers

Cheers Hello, I have this very kit ( the 1st gen cark 112, not cark 112 se), and I also have this phone but of late I haven't paired any new phones to it as I'm upto my limit of 10 connection pairings in the carkit. As I have to diss-assemble the dash to get to the car kit to reset it ( you have to unplug / replug the speaker whilst it's powered up IIRC) I've decided I'll ditch it for a better one at the same time, as I have a lot of phones and high turnover of handsets and this 10 pairing limit is a bit annoying - currently I only have an 8910i nokia that works with it, but I'll have a try with a c500 at the same time as I remove it and let you know. My brother has a recent Sony Ericcson kit in his car with a c500 and it works fine. Might sound a bit daft, but make sure your old phone disconnected properly, as the last phone connected is sometimes set to default - if you hold the main button in with no phone connected, it tries to pair with the last phone in memory.
