Guest kat6 Posted October 4, 2005 Report Posted October 4, 2005 Hey, this is a really annoying problem. When trying to hang up a call, the end button often has between 1 and 4+ second latency time before actually ending the call. Contrastingly, hitting menu and then 1, for end call, it ends the call instantly. Is there any fix for this. I often get a lot of latency on all the buttons. Its frustrating when you're trying to enter you voicemail pass and stuff. Thanks Kat6
Guest Paraklas Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Start by closing some applications that may be running in the background of the phone. You can get a task manager utility to do so.
Guest bluesmudge Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 I think the short answer is no - i have the same problem . . it was even worse with an old SPV e200 - i also have a problem with picking up calls as well - always a bit of delay whih i put down to the processing time the ringtone uses . . im afraid its a "quirk" we have to put up with
Guest dewdman42 Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 Can you reccomend a good task manager? I just got my DMT5600 and the batter keeps running down and I come to find out the camara is on in the background, I guess constantly scanning...the only way to come to find this is by going to the task manager that comes with the phone and seeing a list of like 5 apps that are still running, Yuck. 9 times out of ten I don't want any background apps running. Is there a way to configure the phone so that only specified apps will run in the background and the rest will quit when I leave them to go back home again or something like that? Start by closing some applications that may be running in the background of the phone. You can get a task manager utility to do so. <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Guest Doomstalk Posted November 28, 2005 Report Posted November 28, 2005 Try double tapping the end call button. Won't help with the latency for the rest of the system, but might help with hangups.
