Just wondering if any of the GPS software for the C500 or C550 will give you cycling trails and stuff like that?

I guess what I am looking for is software which will act like the E-Trex GPS or similar.

What have people used and do any give this functionality?

You are probably best with something like Memory Map which is basically a GPS enabled OS map. I'm not sure if it works with smartphones though (it definitely works with pocket pcs. Give them a ring if it sounds like the kind of thing you are after.

I found something for the smartphone. It is called SmartGPS. Look at http://smartphone.maxrom.com/

There is a free version with some basic funtionality and a pro version. That version has many more features.
