Guest cold_fire Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 hi, dos any 1 no how 2 put .mp3s or .midi as ringtones on c500??? and how to play .amr things??? thanxs. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> First for .mp3 files your phone has to have one of the latest firmware versions .The sounds are stored in Storage>Application Data>Sounds on your phone .You can put ringtones with the following format : .mp3 (conditioned by ROM version) ,.wma (almost the same as .mp3 in size and quality and not conditioned by ROM version) ,.aac (smaller in size but lower in quality) ,.midi ,.mid ,,wav (very big in size). I use .wma files and midi .So what u should do is copy the files (if they are in the right format) to your phone via Active Sync to Storage>Application Data>Sounds .Be aware that not all ringtones work for all the tones (message ,alarm etc). If u have any problem post back .Hope it helped u ! :o
