sda in car kit - car profile problem

hi, i m using t-mobile sda which is running co pilot. Recently installed car kit in vehicle, now when connected to car kit the phone changes to 'car' profile and all handset sounds/keytones are muted. You can't change profile whilst docked in car kit. Works fine on bluetooth car kit as this uses headset profile.Although this is Ok for telephone usage its not for running co pilot as no sound guidance . I have a friend working in t-mobile product design who knows this is a fault of the phones software. Question is does anybody know of a fix/registry change I can perform that enables the phones speaker to work when in 'car' profile :roll: ??
