Guest sharaf Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 Pleas i need some help here. i recently got an SDA smartphone. and i bought a 512mb memory card. I have some video files i want to copy to the phone which is about 70mb. but each time i try copying the file the phone freezes and stop responding, to the extent that i ll have to remove the battery to switch it back on again. I thought the phone had a problem so i sent it back to tmobile and they sent me a replacement but the new one i just got still does the same the thing. I have bought another memory card, thinking it might be the card but it is does the same thing. please help me.
Guest TigerNet Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 ...I think this is a known issue...if the file is bigger than the phone's available internal memory, it will not copy across...try using a card reader and copy the file from your PC directly to the card via the reader and it should work... ...could be wrong though!!! Cheers Nick

Cheers Nick <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Thanks for your time. I have tried using a card reader as well, but once i put the card back into the phone, the storage format of the card had been changed so the phone no longer recognises anything on the card. and it represent everything on the card with funny signs and it increases the card capacity to about 4 GIG.
Guest TigerNet Posted October 6, 2005 Report Posted October 6, 2005 ...ah...beyond me then...sorry... Cheers Nick
Guest duggyuk Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 I've seen this before. All you need to do is unplug the phones usb cable. PLug it back in after a few seconds. Copy the folder across again. It will ask if you want to overwrite folders (always say yes). If it asks about overwriting files, check the file sizes and ONLY say yes to files where the file sizes are different. Works a treat.
