SVP C500 Will Not Power Up - At All

Hi - can anybody help?

I have an Orange SVP C500 - it's about 4 months old.

Was working fine. Switched itself off and will not switch on again.

Battery was almost full at the time.

No battery charging when mains plugged.

No response from the device whatsoever.

Charging light on when connected to mains adaptor? What about when the phone is connected to a computer?

Any voltage accross the battery terminals?

I had a similar problem on my SPV C500. :o

I couldn't turn it on and thought the power button had got stuck down.

Couldn't do a hard reset as the button wouldn't work.

Took to the Orange shop and they sent it to HTC under warranty as I didn't have insurance.

Apparently HTC replaced the motherboard and it has worked fine since.

They come with 1 yr warranty so yours should be covered. Other than that it could be covered under insurance and they will replace it there and then.

Mine took about 2 weeks.
