Guest TOPGUN1988 Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 So, i have a motorola MPx200 for quite some time now and recently i changed my number (i bought a different SIM) and when i opened my phone this small "G" icon apeared on top of the screen.. this wasn't there when i used my old account.. what does that "G" mean?? you know, that little blue G in the white box in the center of the top bar of my screen.. in addition to that in my signal strength indicator instead of an antenna i get a "G" as well.. what does this mean? :?:  :|
Guest martin Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 The top centre G means GPRS has been activated on your account. More precisely it indicates that you have successfully completed a GPRS attach to the SGSN (Serving GPRS Support Node). The small G next to the signal bars indicates an active PDP context. At this point you can actively transmit/receive data across the GPRS network.
Guest TOPGUN1988 Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 now that's really really weird... i never activated GPRS on my account.. do i have a gprs connection withought knowing it? Anyway where can i find the GPRS configuration menu on an MPx200? :?:
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 You will have GPRS, if you do not want to use it you can contact your network and ask them to disable it from your account. Otherwise the settings can be found in Settings\Data Connections
