Guest IndianaPig Posted October 7, 2005 Report Posted October 7, 2005 Hi all, I am just interested in knowing what kind of battery life everyone is getting from their M500 with an SD Card permanently left in. Does the capacity of the SD card make a difference to battery life? Many thanks.
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Using an SD memory card I get at least 2 days use. Generally during the week my phone is regularly attcahed to the PC, and hence charging, but at weekends (with moderate use, lots of email) it'll go the whole weekend without a charge. SD WiFi is another story though. I get about 3hrs surfing on a full charge
Guest IndianaPig Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 (edited) So what size SD card are you using? I'm wondering if a 2GB bad boy will drain it more. Edited October 8, 2005 by IndianaPig
Guest Br1an_g Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 im using a 1gb SD card, and i get about 2-3 days of normal use which includes e-mail, web, phone (bout 20 min a day) and text (bout 30 a day), along with xcel, and a few games :o like chucky says, with Sd wi-fi, a couple hours tops..

As far as I know, SD card size makes no difference to battery life - only a CF microdrive would drain a battery quicker. Somehow I've only got about 50mb left though - when are 4Gb cards coming out? :o
