M2000 Bluetooth Problems

Having a great deal of trouble getting Bluetooth to work reliably on my M2000. Turning bluetooth on seems to work ok (the little blue light flashes away quite happily), but when you tap the Bluetooth Manager nothing happens. If you reset the phone, and do the same, then the manager comes up, but then the phone is unable to discover any devices. Close the manager, turn blue tooth off, leave it a few seconds, turn it back on again, and bingo, the manager stops working again.

What the hell is going on?
