Guest chucky.egg Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 OK, I've recently got an M500 and one of the first things I did was run the Hard/Soft Reset trick to stop all the Orange rubbish being loaded and eating the arse out of the available memory. Having done that everything's been fine up until a few days ago when I noticed a problem with the Voicemail indicator. The details of that aren't particularly relevant here. So, as well as starting a thread here to see if there was a solution, I called Orange and asked them. A few days have passed and I've had NO useful input from Orange at all. They've been polite, but so far haven't even offered a single theory, let alone a solution. So there are a few questions I guess: 1) What could I reasonably expect from Orange in terms of support for a technical issue with WM2003? 2) What could I reasonably expect from them in light of the fact that I opted not to install all the default apps? Now I know that the problem I have may (or may not) be of my own making, so I'm not complaining about the service I've had, or even the problem really. I'm just asking the question.
Guest mcwarre Posted October 8, 2005 Report Posted October 8, 2005 Chucky, 1. If this was a pc running say XP M$ wouldn't help without paying and neither would where you purchased your phone (without it being a premium number to call) 2. You have effectively messed with the phone by altering its config - I would think that they could reasonably argue that it is not their problem Not having a go at you mate btw :o
