Hi,

I have a T-Mobile SDA, as part of my contract they gave me a 55Mb GPRS bundle which I have now cancelled since I don't really use this.

Is there a setting that I can change so that my phone will not activate a GPRS connection unless I want it to?

Many Thanks in advance

Gavin

not sure, but you CAN disconnect by pressing the home key and following the prompts.

The only thing that I can think of would be to remove the GORS settings i.e. user name so that it would be unable to connect but I am unsure of which settings wouold need to be changed and whether they woudl affect anything else.

You do realise that the large G in the white box at the top of the screen is an indication as to the avalibility of GPRS rather than indicating its in use?

Sorry to assume that you are making a mistake but it does sound like this may be the case, as GPRS IS only on when you need it (indicated by the G in the signal bar)

In which case you're not paying anything, you're just in a place where GPRS is avalible to you should you require it. Theres no point trying to remove the G - to be honest that would make as much sense as removing the signal indicator!

I am aware of this, I used to have a Motorola v600 and E398 prior to this phone and they both allowed me to block or passwordprotect features such as T-Zones orinternet use and I though seen as I am not going to have a GPRS allowance that I would try and do something similar as I do not foresee any requirement to sue GPRS on my phone.
