Spv M1500 And Activesync Problems

I took a picture with my lovely spv m1500 and i decided i want to put the pic onto my computer. But it seems it doesnt want to transfer the picture at all. As soon as i select the picture and drag it to the folder i want it looks like it is transferring but it finishes but the picture isnt there. Am i doing something wrong? I can transfer the picture to the device but i cant transfer it back. Any ideas?

Also i found out that it says my SD card is locked and i cant upload or download any thing from the card onto my pc, which is a real pain. So can i unlock it to tranfer my data to my computer?

Does anyone have any ideas whats wrong?

A quick update.

It seems its not letting me actually drop and drag any items onto my computer at all. I can see the item on the phone, but i cant actually back up the item to my computer via activesync, which is very strange to me.

I can drop and drag the item anywhere i want, it looks like its transfering but then it doesnt show up, but i also get no errors, so is it a device problem or a activesync problem?

Any one got ideas yet?

EDIT - I was trying to transfer a song over to my SD card(Yes i do have enough space on it).

I got this error:

Error Copying File

Cannot copy Trackname : The file may be in read only memory, on a write protected disk, or currently in use by another application

I closed all items on my computer so the file wasnt being used at all.

So i dont know whats up.

Can someone please help?

What happens if u right click on the pic in Activesync on your desktop and choose copy. Can you then right click on the desktop or in a folder and paste the pic that way? This isn't a problem I've experienced, very strange.

One thing with the SD card to check is obviously that the write protect tab isn't pushed to locked position.

Sorry about the wrong section.

I checked the sd card and i can now copy to it, but i cant copy off of it. I tried your method of clicking copy then pasting it into a directory, no luck.

Its when i try to download it into the pc it opens the copy and convert window, quickly drags the finished status bar to 100% in about half a second, then the file isnt there, so im guessing there is an error along the way as its not copying, but i cant figure out where the error is.

Does Activesync produce error logs at all which i could use?

A very peculiar problem. Can't say I've heard anything like it. Is the transfer problem JUST from the SD card or is it the same when you try to transfer from the phones storage?

I can transfer items to the device but i cannot transfer items from the device onto my pc.

Its the same with the SD card aswell i can transfer to, but not back from.

I have tried a little test and clicked to back up the whole Files option in activesync and its backed it all up, but this is a really time wasting effort and if i only wanted one file it will back up the whole phone.

So i have really no idea what the problem is.

Hopefully someone can share the light on whats up?

Try on a different desktop/laptop. I suspect it'll work and if it does then it's something wrong with the software on the desktop. If not, I'd try and get Orange to replace it although no idea what could cause such a problem.
