Guest vedtom Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Eny time I must restart my phone I need to power off and on.I was searching on the forum too but nothing. Can somebody tell me where to find a software for easy phone restart? Thanks
Guest MoRFLeZ Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 I use Orneta Tester ... asign a shortcut to it. So when I want to restart I hold down 9 .. chose menu .. 1 and 2 and it reboots! There's also an app called QuickStart or something similar .. asign that to a button and it will reboot your phone. Had a bit of trouble with that app though, partial hard resets etc, so I quit using it! Lots of people use it without hassle though.
Guest balaaan Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Found this one http://www.airfagev.com/utilities/quickreset.zip  It's a simple exe that does the job.. You need to: 1- Unzip, 2- Copy the file to your smartphone (activesync), e.g. \Storage Card\Progrm Files 3- Create a shortcut for it on the start menu.. e.g. \Windows\Start Menu To restart your phone now all you need to do is run the exe.. :o Cheers.. 8)
Guest Disco Stu Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 A better alternative, also downloaded from Airfagev, is iMenu. This adds to the menu you get from a quick dab of the power button and gives you the following extra functions : 1. Copy 2. Paste 3. Quick List - the original menu 4. Calculator 5. Restart 6. Shutdown
Guest gpcarreon (MVP) Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 This CAB file will automate what balaan have just outlined... RC Raswell's QuickReset Utility RCRaswell.QuickReset.CAB Install to (phone or Storage Card), use 'Quick Reset' shortcut on Start Menu to restart device. Works on SP2002, SP2003, WM2003SE. Been using this for 2 years now. :o Tips: - You may assign speed dial key to the shortcut. - Do not launch quick reset when there are loads of applications running in the background. So best bet is to close all apps before you fireup Quick Reset.
Guest vedtom Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Thanks, QuickReset is working just properly.I have tryed iMenu too but after I press the power button a message apears that no application is attached by...However quickreset is ok' :o Thanks
Guest Disco Stu Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 You need the eVB 3.0 runtimes installed first. I'm not sure where to get them separately but they are included in other RJV apps like RJV RegTweaks.
Guest vedtom Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Thanks for the tip.I will look after...because copy and paste are useful.
Guest Disco Stu Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Very true. I don't use those functions often but there will be times when I want to copy a section of an email and paste it into a text message, for example.
Guest JRC Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 There is Reboot 0.2 on MobiSmart.net : http://www.mobismart.net/telechargement/do...wnload=75&cat=1 The cab make a shortcut in the start menu, when you execute this program you have a confirmation before the reboot.
