Guest icedancer Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Anybody know if its possible to send files such as music, vids etc via bluetooth on the c500? If so how?? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> No - the c500 does not have a full bluetooth stack. You need to use a third party apt such as Smart Explorer. Have fun. Tony
Guest helidan Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Thanks, where can I get that app from?
Guest Disco Stu Posted October 9, 2005 Report Posted October 9, 2005 Probably the most important Smartphone software developer : Binarys - for Smart Explorer & Task Manager :o

Guest MiG:uK Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 (edited) the c500 has a full BT stack, and does work, but bluetooth has always been a bit *cough  [-X *cough* on smartphones. If you got to send the file via "beam" it actually searches both BT and IR, but its a bit pants lol so yea smartexplorer does work, but the fone can send stuff itself. Guest dave danger Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 call me stupid but smart exp doesnt give me the option to select the device i want to send to it just says align the IR ports and press send! am i doing something wrong? or will it automatically select the nearest device? please help this has been annoying me for ages! :x
Guest helidan Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Hey guys, I've got no problem sending files via bluetooth now but now I'm having a bit of trouble receiving them. Like I previously mentioned I had no trouble sending an MP3 to my girlfriends Samsung E530 but when she tried to send me a pic no matter what we did we couldn't get my C500 to receive it or even connect to her phone properly for that matter. Any thoughts :??:
Guest w411y Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 this is what i do on my c550 ... not sure how similar it is to the c500 !! on Start -> Settings -> Beam .. i tick the box "Recieve Incoming Beams" on Start -> Settings -> Bluetooth Setting i make sure Passkey Required is NOT ticked on Start -> Settings -> Bluetooth i set it to Discoverable Hope tha helps
Guest helidan Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 Tried that, didnt work :o The sending device said it was connecting then it just stops with no further messages appearing on either device :??: Is it possible for a Samsung to not be able to send data to a C500 :??: I've tried pretty much everything now
