Hey all.. as the title suggests

Where and how can I get replacement cases for my c500 ?

I know its not one of those hot swap case designs, but after a few months of drunk and disorderly behavior its become a bit scratched n things..

I havent contacted orange yet.. and not really inclined to do so cos im fairly sure they wont know anything..

I appreciate any help with this :o

Best thing to do is send it back to HTC the original manufacturer.

They will charge and im not sure how much BUT its worth it: You need to go here:

http://www.htceurope.com/

Select case booking and enter details etc etc and what you want to have done, and throw the phone in the post via recorded delivery (make sure its one with insurance - ask at the post office)

I expect it might be a good idea to contact them first to see how much it costs.

Else you might be able to buy a new case set from ebay, and replace it with one of the guides laying around the forum. BUT that will void your warrenty!

Hope that helps

HTC repairs are expensive (not to mention the postage) and the quality of the work seems to vary. Also you'll be without a phone if you don't have a spare. Just checked ebay and couldn't find a dummy c500 but they do come up quite regularly for 10 to 20 notes. Also there are a couple of Modaco members that sell fascias and other bits. If you get a dummy C500 the battery cover will be glued down but its easy enough to remove, as is the fascia, which is not glued in place. You will also have a new keypad and aerial cover. Replacing these parts (including the fascia) is fairly straight forward and won't affect your warranty because you don't need to touch the warranty seal. The only bummer is the dummy joysticks don't have tabs on them and are therefore unusable. Start with this thread for instructions on how to do this. Once you are familiar with removing the fascia you will be able to do it quickly and easily in future to clean out the dust!
