Guest adchaffey Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Hi people, Just thought I would find it handy to know where people find wizard model phones available and in stock in the uk, so thought others might benefit from the same info. If you find someone stocking wizard phones, maybe you could post here to let us all know?!?! Or maybe this is a stupid idea?? :?:
Guest mrdo Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 i'd be very interested as well - i'm after a qtek 9100 on a decent contract and it's looking less and less likely that i'll get one anytime soon. buymobilephones.net already hav more pre-orders than the initial 30 models that they are getting. anyone else know where i can get one ?
Guest cjn001 Posted October 10, 2005 Report Posted October 10, 2005 Bought mine from Selfidges in the Trafford Centre, Manchester. Got it off contract but it was a few quid cheaper than Expansys and I could have a play with it first. Not sure what stock levels they had but I was only the second person to buy one, they also had a load of JASJAR's but its huge compared to the K-Jam
Guest debug Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 (edited) Bought my K-Jam from Selfridges in Birmingham last Friday. It was the last one they had in, but they seemed to think they could get more at a days notice. Not so sure how true that is though! Edited October 11, 2005 by debug
Guest mupwangle Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 >>Wizard Watch Is that like a witch hunt?
Guest mrdo Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 witches are easier to come by i believe. anyone know where i can get a 9100 from on the net ? i'm not near a selfridges. smartdevices direct only seem to offer 18 month contracts like expansys and buymobilephones.net have just wacked up their prices. sigh.
Guest adchaffey Posted October 11, 2005 Report Posted October 11, 2005 (edited) >>Wizard Watch Is that like a witch hunt? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> kind of! I'd rather have the latest release from HTC than a wrinkly old hag with a huge wart on her nose though. Then again...... :o I know it would probably be all over the forums if anyone did have any news, but does anyone have any idea when (if!) orange will be releasing the wizard?? What are the chances of it being available by mid november (when my contract runs out)?? Edited October 11, 2005 by adchaffey
Guest ajfoggy Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 HI, Just ordered mine from mobilefun.co.uk, it's not in stock buy the guy said they would be in within two weeks. Been waiting now for a couple of months so I can wait two more weeks. Contract is Vodafone 200 X-mins + 250texts £30 per month, £26.00 for the phone. http://www.mobilefun.co.uk/vodafone/7855.htm Also includes that stop the clock promotion. ;) :D :D

I've got just one month left on my Orange contract, and unless they pull off a minor miracle (in releasing a HTC wizard phone with a contract as good as that!) I'm off to Vodafone! Cheers for the link! Although I hope that not too many people have now placed orders after reading it! Please let me know how it all goes, I'd like to know how good the company are before I place the order.
Guest jonhitch Posted October 15, 2005 Report Posted October 15, 2005 It is a good deal - however please be aware that you will be tied in to a 18 month contract. The deals with O2 via www.buymobilephones.net will get you 250xnet minutes and 100sms (doubled for 3 months) tying you in for only 12 months before you can upgrade or move networks. This is only £29.99 and I think they now have phones in stock. http://www.buymobilephones.net/store/merch...tep=4&pn=Phones I'm getting this deal from them with the phone arriving on Monday ;)
Guest eyecam Posted October 15, 2005 Report Posted October 15, 2005 (edited) http://www.digitalpocket.co.uk/display.asp?hs=9100 Think they might all be from the same place though ! Edited October 15, 2005 by eyecam

Hope there wasn't as http://www.digtalpocket.co.uk is my site ;) I'ts just a referer and comparison site. the link form there says that buymobilephones.net will have them in stock 20/10 If you add your email to http://www.digitalpocket.co.uk/display.asp?hs=9100 I will mail out when other providers have them. With Vodafone Stop The Clock, you can talk for up to an hour per call at evenings and weekends, and only pay for the first three minutes. And that applies to cross network minute too! So for the moment that get's my vote!
Guest jonhitch Posted October 16, 2005 Report Posted October 16, 2005 That's good if you'd use it. Personally I use a majority of my minutes during the day and use the landline during evenings and over the weekend. I ordered mine on the 23rd September and it should be arriving tomorrow!
Guest DeanJ Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Bought my K-Jam from Selfridges in Birmingham last Friday. Guest ajfoggy Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Well, my order was dispatched yesterday!!!! ;) :D Should be delivered today, only problems they will only deliver to billing address which means i'm going to have to wait until tomorrow to pick it up from PO.
Guest jonhitch Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Good if you can pick up from the PO. Mine was sent by Interlink Express - which is miles away! Pants!
Guest ajfoggy Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Harsh, will they not redeliver to another address :??:
Guest jonhitch Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Thankfully a neighbour is in all day and has agreed to accept it. Assuming all goes well I should have my 9100 tonight - fantastic!
Guest Rob.P Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 ^ you lucky git, I have to wait until Friday if I'm lucky or Monday if I'm unlucky, I'm getting too impatient now.
Guest eyecam Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 IS this the real M3000 ? http://www.digitalpocket.co.uk/display.asp?hs=m3000
Guest ccsnet Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 http://www.scancom.co.uk will have some soon.... so I'm told :?: Any way - you might want to look at the Tmobile Web n Walk tarrif - apparently there are heavy discounts on this tarrif for the resellers and we get 40mb per month data as well... ok its not much but its a start. Terran
Guest adchaffey Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 IS this the real M3000 ? http://www.digitalpocket.co.uk/display.asp?hs=m3000 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WOW! That is the first reference I've seen for the M3000. What does everyone think??? Is it genuine?
Guest jonhitch Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Wow - the M3000 really does look impressive! Bet it's not out till next year though (given how long it took for the M500!).
