Guest paulrich Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 Hi Nigel, Recemtly got myself a PPC too and am considering a GPS system also. When i do i think i'll go for the accessories available at addonsworld. Check them out. http://www.addonsworld.co.uk/section.php/3178/0 Hope this helps.
Guest mike-oh Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 I've got a Jam and just bought TomTom Navigator 5. I stayed away from the all in one cradle and receivers as with my work i need to jump in and out of several cars and i also plan on using it on foot. The bluetooth GPS receiver lets me do this without any problems and the software is very impressive.
Guest Samsonite Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 there's the perennial thread of which GPS people prefer...a search is gonna help ya... I use CoPilot 5 on a S100 and have had a minor headache with the s/ware forgetting who the BT receiver is. It took a coupla goes to do a full scan of 'COM'ports to find it again but other than that its been spot-on. Some of the tweaks to 6 almost make it worthwhile paying the reduced upgrade fee...

Good idea about making it portable. Doh!
Guest Pabs(Sco) Posted October 24, 2005 Report Posted October 24, 2005 I just got my MDA Compact with CoPilot 5 a few weeks ago. Works very well, I am suprised how accurate it is. Not had any software problems or connection problems.
