Guest tsutton Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 (edited) When I updated mine to 4.2.1.2 it did get slow at the start, but later on, it got speedy and I'm liking it more. I must add that I have deleted as much crap stuff as I can from the phone's memory and install the program files, games, etc on my SD memory card. That will ensure the phone will be quicker with plently of free memory. Edited October 12, 2005 by tsutton
Guest bluesmudge Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 nope :o if anything i think its improved its speed - though apparently the only change was voice mail speed dial number problems so any diffrence you experience is apparently 'coincidental' How over loaded is your memory - have you got too many apps installed on the phone? try installing them on SD make sure all space is free with task manager (quite often over looked) Have you tured the phone off recently? people who leave the phone on all the time tend to see the phone slow down (even if they clear programs with task manager) tried the above? - try re-running the ROM update - always worth a shot! Guest jporch316 Posted October 12, 2005 Report Posted October 12, 2005 couple of thing i noticed with rom 4.2.1.2 over rom 4.2.1.1 1 fixed voicemail no (although there was a registry fix available) 2 fixed my in call earpiece volume - the volume bar on screen was moving but there was no difference in sound with side buutons in call 3 Battery life now returned to what it was before the 4.2.1.1 update. 4 callers to my phone now seen to be getting through where as previously the calls to my phone were not connecting ocassionally.(what inspired me to upgrade on monday) 5 video recorder back working after a month or two of insufficient memory even after a reboot. 6 Active sync back working after a month or two of randomly disconnecting. I had installed the previous rom 4.2.1.1 twice as i couldnt believe it could drop in quality from the previous A lot happier now Just my two penny worth J
Guest ventress Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Just recently had a prolonged play with new rom after finishing my refurb (thanks Andyleem!). It does appear to me to be slightly stuttery. I hope this will clear up. WIll a hard reset after flashing help? Also my phone tends to go to and stick to IMAP email folder randomly. Most bizarre.
