Does any one know of a GOOD RELIABLE and DECENT freeware (prefurably) alarm clock application that works, and is reliable nd on time etc.

I am currently using my nokia to wake me up as my alarm clock has issues.

But i am looking into selling it to my bro but need an alarm.

Hence my problem.

The one already on the phone is too much mucking around just to set it, so need a decent one that does the job.

Am sure you get the picture now.

Any help is appreciated.

P.S Must be for c550

Cheers

If you go into your settings > data and time. There's an alarm function in there, but haven't tried it yet.

Try placing this file in your sounds folder Storage/application data/sounds/

Then change settings/sounds/alarm to the file

Then use settings/date and time/ to set the alarm on, and set time.

Gets me up every morning    ;) ooooer?

hiĀ  ;)

have you tried the alarm discussed in this thread?

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Ye wasnt the best, dispite my phone time being correct, it was running late, plus it didnt fit on my screen....didnt support QVGA.

The standing alarm thing is good but really wanted something that allows me to turn the phone off but i no this is a standing complaint with SPV's!!!!!

Thanks for the help Guys n Gals :D

The logic with MS is that SmartPhones don't need to be turned off at all, and thus it is not an issue. If you don't want calls during the night etc, they feel you should just switch it to Flight Mode, and thus still get your alarm sound.

I am not sure I like this logic at all - I like my phone to be OFF off during the night.

Of course, having a whole OS that loads when run, unlike a Nokia, this means the phone can't do alrams when off.

Shame, as even a Symbian Nokia can do this.

Additionally, it contrasts with the 'hibernate' state of a Pocket PC phone, but even then of course, you need to turn it to Flight Mode to avoid calls.

Mmm, progress eh?
