Just had a phone call from them saying they work for Orange and they can give me discount on my bills

Said to him give me your number and I'll call you back later and he said ' I'm in South Africa and I dont think you would want to call me back '

Sounded dodgy to me, has anyone else been contacted by them?

I think this has come up before and they have been exposed as con artists.

Orange CS will doubtless confirm this for you and be very grateful for you alerting them.

They're an independant orange - only retailer based in Branston with 20 or so shops.

This sounds like an upgrade cold-call rather than a scam. Register with the telephone preference service to stop calls like this.
