Guest devon247 Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 (edited) My C550 is taking photos like the attached image. It's not like that while I'm looking at the screen before the capture, it's only once the file has been saved as a JPG and I see the preview screen. Videos are fine. Any ideas? I've had the phone for a week, so it's brand new really, and it's been taking photos like this since I got it. I've not tried upgrading the ROM. Edited October 14, 2005 by devon247
Guest gilesjuk Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 No idea on the cause, but if you do a full backup and then reset to factory defaults you will see if it then works.
Guest devon247 Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 I just did that, and now not only are the photos weird, so is the preview (attached)
Guest fluffcat1 Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 I just did that, and now not only are the photos weird, so is the preview (attached) I'd get in touch with the retailer - if you've done a hard reset there's nowt else you can do without opening the phone to check for a bad connection - this would void your warranty so I'd just send it back. If you just phone customer support explain the problem and say you've already done a hard reset etc, they should replace straght away (avoiding the half hour diagnostic phone call!)
