Guest Pondrew Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 Well folks, the SDA II is hardly news as it's been anticipated for ages but having just noticed the similarity between it (advertised on the T-Mobile UK site here) and the new HTC Tornado I-Mate SP5m and Qtek version I wondered if they had pulled off a coup and launched the Tornado without anyone knowing. The following is the new SDA II: While this is the SP5m: They look the same right? Wrong. Having searching round the internet I was unable to find conclusive evidence one way or the other for this Smartphone being the Tornado. Some specs included wifi and WM5, most didn't. In the end I rang up T-Mobile and asked them. It has Windows Mobile 2003 SE and no wifi, although it has QVGA res. The disappointing news being this must be an HTC Hurricane in a Tornado shell!

The SDA pictured is similar to the previous SDA Music (based on the HTC Amadeus) but it didn't have the two dots (leds?!) next to the speaker. Either way, still sucks that they only launch the Hurricane rather then the Tornado. (sorry guys, not meaning to dis the Hurricane but...)
