Guest sgannon Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 (edited) I've just had my phone back from HTC (3rd dust repair) and it's developed a problem with the battery charge. Before I sent it off I was getting 4-5 days use out of a battery charge, but it's now draining the battery at 10% an hour with no use (no bluetooth or gprs turned on either). I didn't send the battery with the phone, so I know it can't be a battery fault. I haven't loaded any new software either. Another (related?) problem is that I set the alarm before I went to bed and when I woke up, the alarm hadn't gone off. I checked the phone and the battery was on 10% but the date had changed to 2004 and the time was wrong. Has anyone else experienced any problems like this? Would 'clear storage' fix it, or is that different to a hard reset? [Edit] : Just went to use the phone and it had completely locked up on the home screen. Pulled the battery and it now says 1/10/2004 again. Weird, it never used to lose the date/time when I pulled the battery out. Edited October 14, 2005 by sgannon
Guest bluesmudge Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 hard reset IS diffrent to a clear storage. All any of us will probably suggest is a hard reset and see if that helps (make sure battery is full when doing this) If that doesn't work (and this is becuase im vindictive) contact HTC and isist that its their fault and that they do something about it. . . . . for FREE. ;)
