Guest rickbath Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 Hi, In my PDA, i have sorted all my contacts via the Company name (Work, relatives, etc) how do i do it for my MPX220. Or, is there a PIM that i should use?
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 14, 2005 Report Posted October 14, 2005 It's easier to do it on your PC then sync the phone with the PC.

Guest SinisterJunkie Posted October 15, 2005 Report Posted October 15, 2005 (edited) Contact on the Smartphone is pretty limited, but you can filter by Category. You could make a Category for each Company. You could use SmartphoneFind to find everyone from a particular company in your address book. I do this all the time and it works pretty well for me. Or , how do i go about it .

It is unfortunate and I keep hoping that Papyrus or SBSH will create another program to improve the Address Book function. or, i would like to know how do i create and edit the existing set of filters. the current ones are "Business, personal, misc, from sim" TIA <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'm don't have a SIM card in my phone (Verizon CDMA network), so I am not sure if there is a way to add a category with that, but I sync with Outlook on my PC and set my Categories in Outlook. You have to assign a contact to the Category to get that Category to sync to your phone, Microsoft doesn't sync the Mater Category list on Windows Mobile prior to WM2005. Hope this helps a little.

I just input any name i want to then, there is a new category added. Thanx alot. Is there a way to delete the unused categories. Also, is there any task manager where i can launch some of my apps from my home screen? Any way possible to do it ? EDIT : [-X Cheers, Rick Edited October 16, 2005 by Disco Stu
Guest SinisterJunkie Posted October 16, 2005 Report Posted October 16, 2005 Unused categories will disappear after you sync. As for launching programs from your homescreen, there are many ways. Facade has a launcher function as well as the best Calendar and Task functions of any plugin I have used. You could also try RJShortcut. Either way you have to edit your homescreen to suit your specific needs.
