Guest nrj1999 Posted October 16, 2005 Report Posted October 16, 2005 I killed the phone task to free up memory on my XDA Exec and then couldn't get the phone keypad to appear. The phone was working but functionality was severely impaired by having no access to phone-type buttons. Has anyone else experienced this? I got the thing working again by a soft reset but it is a bit easy to do this inadvertently. btw This device is great but it is crying out for push email
Guest Pondrew Posted October 16, 2005 Report Posted October 16, 2005 I couldn't replicate this on my MDA III (Blue Angel) as Task Manager does not show the phone application even when it's running (probably to avoid exactly this problem). Were u using the Task Manager that comes with the XDA Exec?

Strangely, when I look now, there are two Phone entries in the Task Manager and I can switch to either one. One is showing a recent call list and the other is the last phone keypad view I used to make a call.
Guest 73bugcab Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Same prob with exec. Used to use "stop all running" on M2000 to avoid the thing grinding to a halt because apps do not close but this kills phonepad on eO2 exec until reset, funnily still able to voicedial! I also cannot find intellipad at all.

Not having your phone i cxant be sure but sometimes on the pc's at work somehow two image sof the samre apllication open and they clash causing the app to stop working. If you could end both of the images and them reboot your phone it COULD solve the problem!

Expect they'll resolve this bug in a future update.
