Guest MiG:uK Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Well, upon looking in the smartphones registry, i stumbled upon codec settings for windows media player.. at it is restricted to.. max fps of 15 max data rate of 168kbps max resolution of 160 x 120 Well.. i kinda changed the reg settings to the following: max fps 30 max data rate 768kbps max res 320 x 240. And it jumps to buggery... any ideas why ? that was with a 325kbps video. im gonna play some more and report the results.
Guest MiG:uK Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 well upon playing with wmp 10, i was unable to create a 30fps file with 96kpbs audio that would even play smoothly. to me, this is unnacceptable, since beta player / TCMPCP can play this type of file, yet WMP cant. I would be good if it could, since i would have a nice library off all my videos, and cud switch to music instantaneously, and use the buttons on the front of the phone. maybe i set the max fps to low ? i mean the video is 30fps and max is 30. Ill experiment see if putting 60fps changes anything. ;)
Guest MiG:uK Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Experiment over: Just seems that WMP 10 just doesnt like high quality video. its a shame, since the WMV is a lot smaller than DivX for quality, and becuase of the phones built-in capability to play WMV. I think WMP10 has to many restrictions to make it a decent video player, just like pvplayer.
Guest OttoR Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 (edited) I have converted my video files with the use of: Windows Media Encoder. Using the wizzard's profile: "WM8 Video for DSL/Cable Delivery (250Kbps, 320x240, 30fps)" Works Perfectly... No sync issues in video/audio either. EDIT: Video for broadband PAL (768 Kbps) is better full screen ;) Edited November 6, 2005 by OttoR
Guest MiG:uK Posted November 6, 2005 Report Posted November 6, 2005 didnt work for me, it just doenst seem 2 like high quality video if i convert it
