Guest Steve101 Posted October 17, 2005 Report Posted October 17, 2005 Critical communications services have failed to start. Try resetting the mobile device, and then connect again. I think I may have finally solved this problem. Well it works for me anyway. Here goes.... There is no need to try and re-install Activesync, as there is probably nothing wrong with it. Thats why when you re-install it you get the same error message. The way I got around this problem is this: Have a look in your Firewall program where you have a list of Blocked or Allowed Internet programs. In here look for these programs: Windows Explorer, ActiveSync Application and ActiveSync Connection Manager. Make sure that these 3 programs are allowed either Full Access, or Outbound Access Only. I have mine on Full Access and it works ok. I tried denying access to Windows Explorer but this brought the error back up again. I think this is the only reason this error occurs and it is definitely nothing to do with Activesync. Hope this helps!!!
