Errors when copying files using ActiveSync

Hi All,

I am having trouble copying certain files off my phone using active sync. The files are t \Storage\Application Data\Profiles and are *.prof.xml

My phone is an O2xhoneIIm is application unlocked and is running 2003 se.

I get the following error...

Cannot Copy Meeting.prof: Access is Denied

Make sure the mobile device has suffiecient memory,that the file is not set as read-only, and that you have permission to copy this file type.

The files have the hidden and system flags set but not the read only. I can copy them to another location on the phone or a storage card but I cannot copy the new copies off the phone either. Any ideas? I really want to set the ring tone to loop but the registry settings change when I change profiles so I want to edit the profiles. Any ideas? Anyone?

Probably because your phone is using the file??

I don't think this is the case. Unless it keeps all profiles file handles open. If I set my phone to outdoor profile then try to copy Meeting.prof.xml I still get the error.

I just tried the same thing using a Win2000 pc instead of XP and I get an additional error after the first one, "Unable to create System Semaphore"
