upgrade

ok ive nearly come to the end of my contract and have recieved the end of year call from orange asking if i want to upgrade to a better handset.

I was hoping to get the m500 but its been out of stock for so long when it does finally appear it will be outdated by newer handsets.

There is a chance it might re-appear with Windows Mobile 5.0. and more memory and even wi-fi but this is only a rumour and how long do we wait before it does re-appear before we find out if it has been updated.

At one time orange were the boys with the big toys....but now it seems all the other networks are overtaking orange with the new toys and are losing quite a few customers to other networks according to some of the threads in this forum.

I have no complaints in the 12 months ive been with them regarding service and such and would be totally happy to stay with this network if they stayed updated with the handsets that other networks are knocking out on mass to there customers.

Even the M5000 is down as "coming soon" on there website...and how long has this been coming soon....longer than i can remember.

anyway....i have asked the girl at orange to find out what windows handsets they have in stock to upgrade to....and shes gonna find out about the M500 while shes at it.Will also ask about the M5000 when she phones me back.

If they are still "coming soon" phones then it looks like ill be jumping to T-Mobile or O2 for an up to date handset.
