Guest thewitney Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Hi, I've finally managed to convert DVD's over to my C500. My question is when viewing a movie there is an option in the "file" menu of TCPMP for chapters but nothing within it. Do I have to watch the movie clips all the way through or am I doing something wrong which is stopping me from flicking from one chapter to another as on the original DVD? Many thanks.

TCPMP does support fasr forwarding through a track though, this is what I do when I need to get to a certain point in a movie. To fast forward (or rewind) just use the joystick in non fullscreen mode.

Guest Confused Stu Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 It is possible to use the joystick in full-screen mode too. It's just a bit clever - where you needed to press right to fast forward, you still need to press right except because you're holding the phone on it's side pressing right will actually mean pressing it up (or down, depending on which way you've told it to tilt). Sorry I can't explain better, but if when you turn your phon 90 degrees, the direction pad controls shift 90 degrees too. Hope that makes some sort of sense! ;)
Guest martin Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 You can add chapters using the latest VitualDubMod 1.4.10.2 but you must save the file as either an Ogg Media file or a Matroska file. Luckily TCPMP can play both ;) In virtualdub: 1 Load your coded AVI file and then go to Streams-Video Chapters. You can either import a chapter text file in Ogg format or create your own chapter information. 2 Ensure Video='Direct stream' and then goto Streams, Stream list, right click audio stream and make sure it is also set to 'direct stream'. 3 Use File-save and choose OGG or Matroska. Hope this helps :D Note DVD decrypter will output an OGG chapter file if you tick the option in Settings-IFO mode
