Guest monkeygadge Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Bluetooth Activesync Connection. Lovely. Works like a dream. Syncronisation has never been so pleasant. BUT When I try and send ANY kind of file over the connection. It thinks for a bit..............then disconnects......... Anyone else got this problem?
Guest Confused Stu Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 OK, long shot time. When you try to send the file by bluetooth, are you simply going through Activesync and Exporing your phone - exacty as if it's connected by cable - or are you trying to get Windows to send the file via Bluetooth? I'm just thinking that because the latter would be a completely different bluetooth connection type, it would probably cut off th Activesync connection to try to send the file by a file transfer protocol. If you are using the Explore option within Activesync, then I've got no idea! ;)
Guest monkeygadge Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 Yeah I see what you mean, but I'm treating the file transfer exactly as I used to with a USB connection, by copy and paste. At no point am I using the bluetooth transfer files wizard.
Guest monkeygadge Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 Sorted. The problem is to do with the size of the files that can be sent via bluetooth. There is a registry setting that prevents to large a file from being transfered, although I tried sending small (5k) files and this wouldn't work either. solved by applying the C500 CAB file to the MPx220 - BTFIX_CTYPE.CAB works fine now. ;) Maaybe this should be moved by Admin to Mpx220 forum?
