I've just got a C500 and although it has an alarm this seems only to work when the phone is on. I'm sure this can't be right as every other device I own can activate the alarm from a powered off state. Is this just too obvious or does it really not have the ability to be switched off and then turn itself on to activate the alrm? Any advice would be appreciated. You cant use the alarm if powered off....shame Microsoft!!! I believe there are programs that you can install though to give that functionality but i dont know of them. If anyone can point us in the right direction??
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 18, 2005 Report Posted October 18, 2005 Unfortunately it is not possible as any alarm application requires the OS to be running. This is the problem as Smartphones OS does not run when powered off unlike the ppc which hibernates.
