Guest mrjuglas Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 I just got a c550 yesterday and I'm about ready to send it back because not only will Windows Media Player not transfer files (either to the storage card or the Phone rom) -it gets to 9 or 11 percent of the first song - but I can't even transfer the music files using Windows explorer (again to the phone or the rom) - the conversion/copy window comes up but doesn't progress and then it gives up after about 30 seconds. Anyone had a similar problem or have any ideas? thanks!
Guest ricardo the fish Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 (edited) This appers to be a common problem. It is discussed more in this thread http://www.modaco.com/Anyone_successfully_...0l-t223650.html It would appear that the easiest way to transfer music (and other files for that matter), is by removing the MiniSD card and using a card reader. Guest mrjuglas Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Thanks for that, it's a bugger but at least it's not just my phone...
Guest Pondrew Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Pretty huge bug though if u ask me ;)
Guest NX5 Posted October 19, 2005 Report Posted October 19, 2005 Pretty huge bug though if u ask meĀ ;) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Yeah and about time they effing fixed it as we cant play leagally bought music as without WMP10 we cant transfer DRM licences. This has forced me to ditch MSN Music in favour of iTunes because I can remove the DRM from itunes bought tracks (I am not infringing copyright by doing so, I am just allowing the tracks to play an my portable device!) , so because Microsoft cant sort this out they lose even more cash!
