No. At least not at the moment. There are no known plans to do so either. You might be able to homebrew it but that isn't usually a good idea (or legal!)

Doubt even a homebrew option would be able to cope with just 64meg ram and 64meg rom.

Seems that although the latest Smartphones get by with that low an amount, the latest Pocket PCs all have more ROM (which of course is where everything is stored in WM5 unlike WM2003SE)

there is a rumour that there a rom out there, but no one has it. there is no way to hack one on to it as it would be all over the xda-developers site, etc

Yes, I recall rather amusing stories about how the one person in the world who had the Magician WM5 rom was lying in hospital somewhere but that as soon as he got better he'd be back in touch and distribute it to the world.

Whether that was true or not (and I didn't believe a word of it!). Either he or the person who provided it to him would have been breaking the NDA. And seriously folks, why would any of you want to put a substandard ILLEGALLY leaked beta rom on your expensive devices?! Just wait until upgrade time and get a new device, hopefully without having to spend much if anything. Then u can either keep the old device or sell it on (getting back your upgrade cost or more in the process).

Or if you're really REALLY lucky your provider might release an os update (seems to happen with Smartphones more then Pocket PC Phones though: examples include Sierra Wireless, Sagem, Samsung).

I think the ROM will be available when the MDA Compact 2 release on December. ;)
