Guest Disco Stu Posted October 20, 2005 Report Posted October 20, 2005 HME files are self-installing packages similar to cabs. You need to copy them to \Storage \Windows \Start Menu when the phone is connected to your PC with ActiveSync. Now look for the icon for the hme in the Programs menu and highlight it and click the action key. It will now install itself ;)

Guest bradmatejo Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 TY dude it worked but i have to reboot my phone for it to show in the menu ><   <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Have some aversion to rebooting? Can't see why... Alternatively, you can copy it to your memory card (or any other location in the phone for that matter) and use SmartExplorer or other file explorer program to navigate to wherever you stored the file. Doesn't require reboot. This is my preferred method since you don't have to reboot after installing to get rid of the CAB file from Start menu.
