ipod video

So all this buzz about the new video iPod and the content that you can download and watch for it has got me thinking, can I watch those shows on my smt5600? I looked at TCPMP and their latest release said it had support for h.264, but when I tried to play the file, it told me I didn't have the codec for it. Anyone else try this? Or, anyone have a good transcoder that they can reccomend I use for transcoding my divx avi files to an appropriate smartphone format?
