Guest dleach2103 Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 Has anyone tried removing the Orange software from their unlocked C500? I've seen the info for sale on ebay, but wondered if any of you have links to Freeware? I have an unlocked C500 and want to remove the Orange Start screen, webpage links and all the other annoying Orange software which no longer has any relevance. Any ideas? Thanks
Guest awarner [MVP] Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 All the information can be found in the Customisation and Articles sections of the site, it takes a little time to do but it is possible. One post is the tweaks topic from midnight. You will probably find the ebay leech took their information from here or another forum anyway ;)
Guest chmod-uk Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 A bit ott but i just flashed the latest qtek rom, all orange crap gone!

Great! Did the ROM flashing managed to remove the Orange logo on the handset? ;)

The reason why i changed is because i couldn't get gprs working with the orange firmware, as soon as i changed to qtek it worked no problems with basic settings. I'm on vodafone anyway. There's a guide on this forum somewhere that you can follow. Was really easy.
