Guest bennish Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 Hey I've got a *real* problem here guys... my touchscreen on my ETEN M500 won't respond to my taps - it just keeps 'emulating' a tap near the top, constantly selecting the time. Sometimes it will take my taps, but it still keeps emulating the same one. I've tried soft resets, hard resets, and i've tried two different ROMs. It seems this could be a physical problem. Does anyone have any advice? I've had it for months.
Guest chucky.egg Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 Have you tried recalibrating the screen using the stylus? I've heard of this sort of problem if you calibrate the screen using a podgy finger!
Guest bennish Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 No, it won't even respond to the calibration. it just doesn't pick up the taps at all, stylus or no.
Guest Nraja Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 just joined the forum because I wanted you to know that I'm having the same problem as you. I thought it was my screen protector, so i took it off. The screen is more responsive now, but not 100% of the time. It cuts in and out whenever it feels like it. I've only had it for 2 weeks and love it..but this weekend it started to work on its own command. I've done a hard reset and its the same problem. I'm going to re-install the ROM instead of just doing a hard reset. I'm hoping nothing has to be replaced..phone was expensive as it is... Let me know if you come up with anything
Guest slandy Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 (edited) ive had a similar problem once a week this happens to me. mine seems astho its crashing the same as a computer would. this could be coz if youve got too many apps open it just cant take it. i constantly go to the memory and close the files down im not using now , sometimes i have to resort to taking the battery out coz obviously you cant switch it off. is this the same problem?
