Guest furby Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 yes whats ur email address ill ad u <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Sure it's not the htc spv c500? Quote from Spv Developers One thing to note is that your phone has to be “Application Unlocked” in order to run the “cert.cab” file. If you’ve just bought a brand new SPV it definitely won’t be Application Unlocked so that’s the first thing you will have to do (if it is application unlocked then go to to the SIM-Unlocking section) Application Unlocking (Disabling Certificate Security) 1) Go to: http://developer.orangews.com/orgspv/comdefq.aspx 2) Select “Disable Certificate Security” and proceed 3) Agree to the terms and conditions 4) Enter your details (Name, Email, Mobile phone number, IMEI number) and click OK If your phone IS registered then you should receive a message on your phone confirming that your Certificate Security has been disabled and you can continue to “SIM-Unlocking”. If it is NOT been registered you will receive an error, and will have to download a registry application by completing the following steps: 1) Click the registry application link on the error page to go to the registry application page 2) Select “Download to my PC” and click OK 3) Once downloaded, copy the “ActionRegister.ARM.cab” from your PC to your phone via Activsync. 4) Now using File Explorer (on your phone), execute and install "ActionRegister.ARM.cab ". 5) From the Programs menu choose the “Action Register Application” 6) Make sure your phone number is correct in the field provided, if it’s not correct please enter in the correct phone number 7) Click on the register button 8) Click yes on the confirmation page 9) Make a connection to the Internet Your phone should now be registered and now repeat the 4 Application Unlocking steps above. SIM-Unlocking 1) Ensure that your phone is "Application Unlocked" (if it is not follow the steps above) 2) Download the "SPV-Services Client" from the following location: http://www.spv-developers.com/content/SPV-Services.zip 3) On your PC, extract the "SPV-Services.zip" to a folder. 4) Copy the "cert.cab" from your PC to your phone via Activsync. 5) Now using File Explorer (on your phone), execute and install "cert.cab". 6) Once "cert.cab" has been installed, run "SPVServices.exe" (on your PC) from the folder on your PC (with your phone still sync'd). 7) Follow the on screen instructions. Hope that's helped. Sorry if this is missing the point of your post
Guest mupwangle Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 Unless it's a Samsung D500 in which case I doubt anyone here will have a clue.
Guest fluffcat1 Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 Is there such a thing as a Samsung c500? It has a samsung battery, so in the absence of any manufacturer branding elsewhere people just assume the phone is too... Richard

I bought it direct from Orange will that make my phone automatically registered or do i have to register it?

Running the ActionRegister.ARM.cab file will insert Orange Register as a program on your phone and that will tell you if your phone is registered or not.
