Audiovox SMT5600/HTC Typhoon Bluetooth Hack?

I had an Audiovox SMT5600 (HTC Typhoon) for a while and loved it. I bought a new car with bluetooth handsfree and the phone didnt seem to work well. BMW had its "compatible phone list" and in an effort to use the technology I paid for - I switched to a RAZR. I cannot stand the RAZR. I think its the epitome of superficiality. You pay for and have nothing more than a pretty phone. It's defnitely no 5600. That being said, I have been doing a lot of research recently to try and figure out how to get the Audiovox to work with my BMW Assist. I am trying to obtain some information on the ways to modify the SMT's OS/firmware and find someone that can provide the service of making this modification for me. I have found something in my research called the ULF module that may be the focus of this issue but then again....I dont really know what I'm talking about when it comes to hacking bluetooth transmission frequencies and processes.

I am willing to do nearly anything to get this to work.

Thanks for anyone's help!

Try swapping the bimmer out for a Lexus - works perfectly on it! ;) Good luck otherwise.
