Making Themes!

I'm looking to make my own theme but havnt got a clue what proggys I need to start, anyone with a bit of help please!!! ;)

Hello & welcome to modaco! :D

To start making your own themes you first of all need to search the forum for posts about editing xml files, and general homescreen questions. Homescreens are made up of sets of plugins, image files & an xml file (which specifies the settings for the plugins used, colours etc etc).

Pretty much everything has been covered before, so any questions you have about specifics will have been answered before, so all you need to do is search for stuff & you'll find all the info you need.

Then I strongly suggest that you download some homescreens you like, and then open the xml file with notepad, take a look at the background images - it will start to make sense quickly enough. ;)

hey thanks for the welcome!! Been looking at some xml scripts and backgrounds and tell you what my mind is boggled lol, i suppose some tweaking and a bit of practice and a lot of patience, when I have made one I will post. You get to see it in a year ;) wish me luck old bean :D
