Guest mann01 Posted October 21, 2005 Report Posted October 21, 2005 I'm trying to connect my M2000 to my Garmin etrex using a cable bought from pc-mobiles.com. I have tried various pieces of software without success. At first I thought it might be the cable, but then began to wonder about baud rates. The maximum speed from the Garmin is 4800 baud and I wondering if the M2000 is able to support such a slow speed. I would appreciate anyone being able to comment on the above (as Orange were no help at all) or if they have any suggestions.

It's an old-school style serial connection, and GPS really doesn't need a fast data rate. TomTom defaults to 4800 baud when you try to set up a wired GPS receiver.
