Guest okokokok Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 Hey guys, things go from bad to worse with me as when taking apart my phone (see previous post) i've pulled the lcd ribbon out from the main board clasp!!!! I've tried putting it back in with various degrees of success. Most of the time i just get a white screen when i power on. There has been a couple of times i've got it sort of back to normal but it seems to be running in a lower colour mode, almost like 256 colour display??? It reminds me of booting into safemode in windows back with 98!? Anyway, is there a proper way to put it back on or is it time to bin my c500  Cheers
Guest squall Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 ive not done this with the c500 but the original spv did the same. It was purely a matter of getting it correctly lined up, then maybe putting a bit tape or something over it to stop it moving

I would get a big illuminated magnifying glass for doing such things, also inspect the cable for damage.
Guest okokokok Posted October 22, 2005 Report Posted October 22, 2005 Hmmm, i've tried but i think the LCD ribbon has been damaged  Looks like i'm going to have to buy a new C500! Gutted...
