Ringtones C500

[Guest snax]

hi, I've had my C500 for sometime, but don't really know how to modify it, is it possible to use Mp3's for ringtones? if so how do i set this up?

You'll need Windows Media Player 10 on the phone.

Therefore you will need the latest Orange software update which is freely available from the Orange website. The exact location is a little tricky but involves following the Help & Support, My Phone, Do I have the latest software ? links. Full instructions are there when you find it.

Naturally you will checked to see if you already have all this first ! ;)

Go into Windows Media, Menu, About.

Also for info, on the phone itself - Settings, About, ROM update...Operator should be 4.2.blah

Now connect phone to PC with ActiveSync and copy MP3s to My Smartphone \Storage \Application Data \Sounds or even \Storage Card or \Storage Card \My Documents.

Out of curiosity, what does having Media Player 10 got to do with having MP3's a ringtones?
