How to slightly modify home screen

Hi all. I just got my 5600 smart phone with cingular. The home screen has a link on that that goes to Cingular express mail setup and I don't plan to use that. I want to remove it from the home screen, but I have absolutely no idea how to customize my home screen that way. Where can I find information about this procedure?

Yea, I can figure out how to edit the XML and find various plugins, but its a mystery to me which one is the stupid Cingular xpress mail marketing plugin. Does anyone know?
