Guest pfcRT2 Posted October 23, 2005 Report Posted October 23, 2005 i still cant figure out how to synchronize my smt5600 with my computer but i finally found a way to transfer files from my computer to my phone over bluetooth. when i do that it saves the file to STORAGE/MY DOCUMENTS. i was trying to send a video file to my phone but my phone didnt have enough space so i coulnd transfer it. Is there any way to change the destination folder so it would save files to my mini SD??
Guest JesseRPI Posted October 25, 2005 Report Posted October 25, 2005 Try using SmartExplorer. You can find it by doing a search. It should be free.
Guest pfcRT2 Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 with smart explorer you can only ask for files by IR not bluetooth.
Guest monkeygadge Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 Which version are you using. My version 2.0.2 works fine with the ol' BT.
Guest pfcRT2 Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 im using 2.0.2 too. im not tryin to send a file to my computer. im trying to reacieve a file form my computer by bluetooth. i can go to my computer/devices and find my phone listed there. i try to send i file. i get the file on my phone but it saves it to storsge/my documents. is there any way to somehow change the destination folder so that the file would be saved onto my sd card becuase i dont have that much space on my phone so i cant transfer big files such as video files.
Guest Geeklord Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 a cheap solution is a card reader ;)
Guest pfcRT2 Posted October 26, 2005 Report Posted October 26, 2005 It actually is, but i got a stupid bluetooth dongle. WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY!! i shouldnt have done it so now im stuck with it and i want to figure out how it works. SO DOES ANYBODY HAVE ANY IDEAS?
Guest monkeygadge Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 You can use your dongle to sync with your computer?
Guest pfcRT2 Posted October 27, 2005 Report Posted October 27, 2005 i dont even kno..i think so... its the same thing as bluetooth usb adapter
Guest monkeygadge Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 Yeah exactly that. I'm synced up with it. Having problems with sending files from PC to phone though. Haven't worked out the solution yet.....
Guest Priceyboy Posted October 28, 2005 Report Posted October 28, 2005 hi i have had the same problem as u. my activesync wouldnt wrk and a mate of mine had a bluetooth usb adaptor for sending files 2 his nokia, so i bought 1 and it worked. when i send stuff through the bt adaptor it saves to storage/my documents then i hav 2 use file manager to move the file to my 512 mini sd card, this has worked fine for me and my storage card is nearly full, although i would like to kno how to save files straight to 2 my storage card so that i could send larger files and not hav 2 keep transferin them. o btw if the cd that comes with the bt adaptor doesnt work dnt worry just right click the file u want 2 send and click send.... then by bluetooth, this works fine. if anyone does know how 2 send straight 2 the storage card let me kno cheers pricey ;)
