The bit I find most interesting is this note under the M1500:

Please note: the Orange SPV M1500 cannot be upgraded to Windows Mobile Version 5

The bit I find most interesting is the 2 different chip speed quoted on 2 different pages.

520Mhz on the Overview page...

416Mhz on the Features page!!

I mean really Orange, what are you playing at?! That is a schoolboy mistake and you should be ashamed of yourselves ;)

I believe it is due to the fact that it can be clocked at a lower speed to save battery power from the settings menu

Does anybody know if thats a definate about not being able to upgrade the M1500 to WM5? At the mo that is the only thing stopping me from buying one. Seems a bit odd because I've heard other devices running Windows 2003 os can be upgraded.

Cheers

Hi Tclayton.

I know there's definately no official update to WM5 for the HTC Alpine and I doubt there's ever going to be one. Sorry.
